The iLs Methodology can also help people REDUCE or eliminate
- anxiousness
- feeling stressed
- feeling overwhelmed
- difficulties with learning
- feeling tired
- poor academic or work performance
Who Can Benefit:
iLs has a global effect on the brain and central nervous system, influencing the following systems: balance, visual, auditory, motor, coordination, behavior and emotional regulation. As a result, it is successfully implemented for a wide variety of conditions:
-
Learning difficulties, reading, auditory processing
-
Attention & regulation
-
Sensory processing
-
Speech & Language
-
Neuro-developmental difficulties such as Autism
The iLs Method achieves its results through the interaction of simultaneous, multisensory input from the motor, visual, vestibular, and auditory systems, and the cerebellum. iLs accomplishes this by combining distinct program Components: (1) Ear to Brain Component, (2) Visual-Balance-Coordination Component, (3) Interactive Language Component.

WHAT IS THE SSP?
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, is a five-day intervention designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. By calming the physiological and emotional state, the door is opened for improved communication and more successful therapy.

Using the SSP with Adults: Since adults can respond differently to the SSP than children, it's important to empower them with awareness using co-regulation, movement, and breathing as tools to support them and adjusting the intervention based on the their unique tolerance.

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a listening intervention designed to:

-
reduce auditory hypersensitivities,
-
improve auditory processing,
-
calm physiological state and
-
support spontaneous social engagement.
As Dr. Porges describes it, the 5-day SSP program provides the “neural platform for neuroplasticity” and better access to “executive and cognitive functions.”

Visual-Balance-Coordination and Interactive Language Components
The Visual-Balance-Coordination Component
is a set of activities with equipment designed to provide clients with multi-sensory input. This component includes a PlayBook (a guide book of activities), as well as a balance board, bean bags, and balls required to accomplish the PlayBook activities. The Visual-Balance-Coordination Component is included with every system.
Interactive Language
Program
The iL Component focuses on language exercises designed to help children and adults with various auditory processing and expressive language skills. Reading aloud requires the coordination of vestibular, auditory, and visual senses with motor and sensory systems and is one of the most complex neurological tasks the brain undertakes.
